Technology and people’s behavior to the environment.
How to design and visualize through 3d. What the plan view means in 3d and real life (because people does not see plan view so does the quality of plan view matter?) what is the importance of a concept? How do people feel without knowing anything about its concept? What happens when they know? Is out design process effective? In what way? How do we improve our way of design? How do we speak to the new technology? 3d, visual reality, camera. How does taking photos affect our experience of a place? How do we improve the experience? What's the effect of people taking photos? How long does people spend on pictures? Is taking pictures effective in shaping our memory of a place? Is picture/image a commodity? Why do they share pictures? How do environment show up in social media? How do we improve the way people share memory and experience with people being lonely? How do social life moving to Internet affect the way we think of environment? How does google map, street view and 增强现实(两种)affect the way we perceive the world? How do we provide information without need to be in the real place? Is it possible? Can a place be digitalized? How is it different than the real place? What is the role of landscape architecture? Does the current design satisfy us? What is modern about the current design? How and why do we design a modern or post modern landscape. How do la respond to architecture? How do experience relate. How does environment speak to modern people? Does geometric shapes speak to us? What is environment? Do we limit ourselves in built environment? What about social environment? Environment can only be so powerful, but the change of built environment is a result of people's taste and thoughts and it can shape who we are. The function of the architecture, the look and atmosphere of a street can have a great impact on us. Does it speak to people who value experience? What does design of experience mean to people who value fame? Should we change or let it be? Company name DiG-digital dog pig dig do it great do in group

I couldn’t think of a interest of study right now. I tried to link my research interest with my personal goal, but is it necessary? What kind of job do you want to do? I don’t want to waste my time. I am living, and it’s said to be in the post-post modern era, but what do we get from this jargon? I don’t know. My interest on environment, … where does it come from? I’m constantly asking myself what am I gonna do after graduation. Yes, we all want to stay in the US for a better package and money, but is that really what you want? Do you see yourself living in the US in 10 years? So we all want to go back to China and work with an experience we get from the US, but what can we learn? Like what a company is like? You can get that experience in China too, but maybe US can offer a better environment? Some of us know what they will do after, but I just think most of us are not sure. Unless there is a new field? We are back from study abroad, but what has changed? Being more international? Able to use English well? Have a better understanding of China since we are not in China? 6%, 39min remaining. listening to music, constantly asking myself, questioning myself. This is an environment that I am able to reflect on myself. I am away from the society, or common circle in China. I don’t have lots of friends. Basically i am with myself. Sometimes I just stay at home doing nothing. Let myself in the addiction of games and laziness. Do I activate diffused thinking in the mean time? When I don’t believe in myself, or know something very important is going on, I tend to back off, or it might be my way of thinking and prepare. I put my thoughts in my head, just not thinking it directly. 5%, ops, 32min. I should analyze my thoughts. I don’t have a set interest. I believe in a lot of opportunities. Like the instructor meeting I went to today, China is undertaking a really huge change in the built environment, just not everyone is sure what is gonna happen. I know in the government field, ecology and something more thoughtful and beneficial is going on. What can I help? In order to know construction process, I have to be in a firm. But to understand the whole process, I can’t be in a large firm, because that way I will be set into one task. I need to learn the whole package, have an understanding of the whole process. Why? I want to be a leader. 4%, 26min. Yes, a leader, a leader in the field. What field? something about our environment. I thought about this when I was in Tongji. I said I wanted to enter the environmental engineering program. I thought that is something I can do. But they told me 环保is not what that field is. I have been to a lot of places. I have been a tourist for a long time. And then, I didn’t want to. I saw beautiful places, with lots of people. People in China loves seeing new stuff. They spend money for this. Yes, travel. Why do we travel? Aren’t we seeking new experiences? Why new experiences? We need a better perspective to look at the field right now. 2%. We need to look at things differently, so that we can re-think our current condition. Thats why we are amazed by art and architecture. Yes we need to change. Because we are not active, and we react to the built environment. I want to be an artist. I just don’t know how. I try to study something like architecture because I always believe in my design thinking. I look for design and art. Why? On one hand I don’t like the currently way of thinking. On the other hand, I respect what people do currently and I understand that something happens because people like it. 1%. After moving away from the 7% battery, I stopped for a while. If you are in the middle of something, it's hard to get back on track. The flow. So I said that I wanted to be an artist of some kind. I dreamed of combining everything from different fields together and to make something inspiring. I just did't know in what job field can I achieve this. I study design, I go to art museums, I travel. I seek new experience when I can, but I was also lazy. In Tongji, I was inspired by architecture design. It's the built environment that inspired me. While I try to go to more art shows, I honestly didn't know about them. I was seeking new ideas from them, but most of the times, I just didn't. I ended up wandering around, trying to know the art. But I usually couldn't. I make some sort of "art". The first one being "HELP!". Does it mean anything? Where did I get the inspiration? I guess walking by myself does help. I play music. I studied saxophone. I like Jazz. I just like the way it express the ideas in a "free" form. I hate conventions even though they are helpful in some fields. Of course we need conventional thinking because stable life needs conventions or traditions. Traditions like festivals, family gatherings, gossips, clubs, weekly gatherings. They are helpful. They help you ease up. You get help from these. It gives you identity. Just like habits you learned from your life when you grow up, it saves your energy. But at some point, we have to break away from conventions and habits if we want to grow. But learning does require context, so does culture and knowledge, and art. They are based on the thoughts of people at the time, with the environment and context. It changes gradually. But the change/exchange of ideas in modern times, is much faster than that in the old times. Yes it is globalization. The purpose of these writings is just a way to help me find myself, but after all I did not have a conclusion. I was excited by an idea one day, but the second day I just know that idea is not good enough. I am looking for inspiration a lot. From a book, or a lecture, LEGO, new ways of thinking. But am I thinking too much? I just should do more. Conclusion: analyze your interests, find a related field |
